We have been actively collaborating with many companies in the High Pyrenees for many years (20 years for the oldest). We know the entire department very well, from the urban areas to the smallest villages.
SPECIALIZED IN TRANSPORT FOR CHILDREN
We are experienced in providing transportation for children. Indeed, for over 17 years we have provided this service. We are especially familiar with children’s behavior and habits, and we know how to care for and watch over them.
SPECIALIZED IN TRANSPORTATION FOR THE DISABLED
We have considerable experience in transportation for the disabled. Indeed, we have equipped four of our minibuses with ramps and secure fasteners for approved wheelchairs, verified and certified by the DRIRE Government control services. We wish for as many people as possible to have access to the wonders of nature and our beautiful region.

We are aware that this is a difficult and delicate task. We are prepared to adapt to any and all specific requests at all times.
GOING BEYOND SIMPLE CAR TRAVEL
Every time it is necessary (distance, dangerous road, darkness, any risk), children are always accompanied by the driver between the taxi and the specific meeting location (classroom, apartment, activity or childcare site…). During travel, the child is made comfortable and can ask for music or chat.

Q : How does one become employed at TRANSPORTS ET TAXIS JOËL?
A - Joël: Applications are carefully examined so that only the most motivated drivers are hired. Our criteria: enthusiasm, determination, resourcefulness, sociability. We look for human qualities. Each member of the team must be complementary and interdependent with the others.
Q: Do you have other hiring criteria?
A - Joël: We endeavor to better see the candidate upon hiring through his or her leisure activities, family life and family.
Q: Why do you have these criteria?
A - Joël: A simple and balanced life is an additional guarantee of proper behavior by drivers with regard to the children being transported.
Q: Do only men drive taxis?
A – Joël: Of course not. There are women, too. Furthermore, there are times when a female driver is specifically requested for the child due to relational difficulties with men (problems in the child’s family life).
Q: Do you only work with salaried employees?
A – Joël: No, part of the team is made up of independent taxis drivers, who of course are still carefully screened. We conduct internal training and audits so as to ensure that everyone, salaried or independent, respects the same working standards and to offer every possible guarantee to your children and to you.
